As black makes the cut in most of the ensembles, it’s apparent Ashley Williams’ A/W18 has once again designed a collection with late midnight hours in mind. The shows opens with a black sleeveless dress notably worn by model Adwoa Aboah just below the knee with a round neckline. The dress is accompanied by large pleats which form the loose silhouettes prominent in Williams’ A/W18 show.

Whether you’re more of a flurry slide kind of person or love your heels to be as on point as your outfit, the shoes were, for the most part, uniform amongst the models whereas the accessories ranged from 1950s statement glamour to emerald encrusted gems. The make up was also consistent with black lips offsetting a bold smouldering pink eye palette which noticeably blended in with the blush. Although, this look was occasionally obstructed by geometric black shades paired with large, gem-encrusted hair clips.

For garments accompanying sleeves, statement shoulders were defined using bishop sleeves or shoulder pads. Suiting and four button blazers are paired with hoodies for a more laid back aesthetic. Luxury fabrics are used to uplift the informality, so blazers are styled as both buttoned up and open.

The shows “Don’t Know, Don’t Care” slogan is printed on more casual items such as a cropped black hoodie and a cropped white tee as well as printed along the leg of a mint green two-piece joggers and matching top. Whilst the monochrome palette is alive and well throughout the collection with designs such as the polka dot skirt with a low hanging waist, colour also takes form in a block-patterned poncho and various prints.

Prints are kept to a minimum as tie-dyed jeans are styled alongside a water-esque marked hoodie. Likewise, classic leopard and tiger prints make a name for themselves in various un-catlike forms. Tiger print dungarees are paired with a sculptured, floating head print which is repeated over a shirt with the same tiger print fashioned into a cropped mid length zip puffer. Mesh bodysuits also vary with black leopard dots as well as a bright pink leopard print turtleneck dress hemmed at the knee.
