About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team in a pivotal role as Head of Brand Partnerships. You will be responsible for liaising with and managing relationships with clients as well as scoping out new relationships with both agencies and directly with brands. You will also be responsible for managing the sales process and planning campaign budgets and profit margins. The ideal candidate will be confident, personable and able to get stuck in. 

We are looking for a person who has experience working across multi disciplinary campaigns, in digital, audio, social and experiential. You will have experience writing media plans and campaign proposals, as well as a thorough understanding of industry expectations and rates. 

As a senior member of the commercial team, you must be able to spot campaigns and brands that align with gal-dem’s core values, and handle client relationships and pitches to ensure all commercial efforts remain true to gal-dem’s mission.

You will manage gal-dem’s partnerships manager, a part time account manager and any freelancers who we bring in to work on the execution of commercial partnerships and projects. You must therefore be good with people and have experience within a managerial position. 

You will work closely with gal-dem’s Head of Editorial, Social Media Manager and CEO.

Our focus is on the stories of marginalised communities and incorporates anything from social justice and institutional corruption to cultural touchpoints and wellbeing.

 

Day to day responsibilities:

  • Introducing gal-dem to new brands and agencies
  • Developing creative concepts for brand campaigns
  • Organising and running sales meetings
  • Forecasting revenue and profits 
  • Developing sales strategies
  • Supporting junior staff with project management of active campaigns
  • Supporting HoE and CEO with financial projections

 

Essential skills:

  • 3-5 years working within the advertising industry (or relevant experience in similar roles)
  • Have experience of managing campaigns in excess of £50,000 net
  • Experience of managing the sales process and planning campaign budgets and timelines
  • Excellent presenting and communication skills
  • Experience managing client relationships 
  • Pre-existing relationships with brands
  • Comfortable using Google Docs / Sheets / Slides; MS Word / Excel / Powerpoint; iWork Pages / Numbers / Keynote

 

You must be eligible to work in the UK.

Salary:

  • £35k+ dependent on experience
  • Quarterly revenue share scheme
