AN ONLINE AND PRINT PUBLICATION COMMITTED TO SHARING PERSPECTIVES FROM WOMEN AND NON-BINARY PEOPLE OF COLOUR

First things first, let’s make one thing clear: Dilara Findikoglu’s latest collection is not for the fashion faint-hearted, nor is it for the people of this world. Set in a purgatory between this conflicted, angry world and a Tank Girl-esque post-apocalyptic future, alien models made up to the nines by Isamaya Ffrench jarred against the antique curios that lined the walls of the Sir John Soane’s museum in which the presentation was held. A theatrical Virgin Mary get-up was a highlight of the Dilara Findikolu designs, mix that with some Victorian dresses and medieval calligraphy and you’ve got an eccentric match made in space heaven. A collaboration with Marilyn Manson may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it certainly wasn’t anything like what we’ve seen so far this season.
