Clio Peppiatt – the designer that hasn’t failed to bring fun and humour to each season since launching in 2015 – has done it again. For AW17, Peppiatt brought us her collection entitled “Love Rat”, with the irony being that her love rats are aspirational. Clad in statement, yet wearable, pieces like beaded mesh dresses, colourful faux furs and teddy bear jackets – who wouldn’t want to be one of Peppiatt’s love rats? Asides from the get-in-my-wardrobe-now clothes, what makes us really look forward to Peppiatt’s presentations is the vibe. This year it was a “trance dance” party complete 90s house music, disco balls and gold cups which the models couldn’t help but throw shapes to.
