“The theme of this shoot is about accepting yourself as the way you are before getting an acceptance from the world. Body alteration is becoming a trend but there are some things you can’t change, which in this case is scars. In the shoot I have attempted to capture the beauty of the scar and how it complements the skin. Dealing with leukemia from a young age, Celina had to change her lifestyle a lot. Getting stared at because of her scars has never stopped her from wearing what she wants to wear and doing what she wants to do. People only see the negative side of it, but she has turned into a young confident black woman that can deal with anything because of that beautiful scar.” – Words by Shiv
